Bye-bye Grey Cross Weave

I've known for a few days now that Moda Grey Cross Weave has been discontinued. I haven't posted because I just didn't want to talk about it. What was Moda thinking? I love Cross Weaves.

The bad news just keeps coming. Spearmint, Coral, Pomegranite, Storm, Wasabi, Lipstick, Apple, Scarlet and Sky have been cut from the Cross Weave collection as well. Maybe more but these are the ones I really love. I just don't know what to say. Really, what was Moda thinking?

I'm all out of Grey but I do have the other discontinued colors in stock. 

So, I better get all the bad news out on the table. Guess who increased their rates on January 23? If you said the US Post Office then you're right.

I took a close look at all my rates and I adjusted them somewhat. The US rates didn't change much but the International rates changed drastically. For what it's worth, I would pick up all the shipping costs if I could, but it's just not possible.

Now for some good news! The first batch of Stockholm arrived and you'll see it in the store soon. I'll send out a quick newsletter and a tweet when the fabric is ready for purchase.

Oh, one more thing. I'm very low on some of the prints from Malka Dubrawsky's a stitch in color but my next shipment arrives next week so no worries. It is going fast so get out there and select your favorites before it's all gone. 

It's these kind of days that make me want to buy a trailer to stash fabric. Okay, that's sounds extreme. Maybe I can move my two boys into one room and use the extra room to store my stash. That sounds more reasonable since I really don't have any place to park a trailer.

Wow, what WAS Moda thinking??? I love all those crossweaves. How disappointing.

maybe im late to the game and crossweaves have been around a long time...but im just discovering my love for these fabrics!! i wish they weren't going away...

Why do fabric companies make these decisions? And I'm sure the boys won't mind sharing a room...

So much for getting my hands on like 8 yards of the stuff!! Seriously, WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!!!??? Maybe it's a manufacturing/supply problem? Going to see what colors you have left...
